Time for a new bloggie in English today! How is everyone handling the whole corona situation? I’ve decided not to watch the news anymore. If there is anything I need to know, I will find out anyway. Via a press conference, breaking news or my husband, who doesn’t get stressed so easily as I do.
Because one way or the other; this is a stressful period. We are both working from home and at the same time trying to homeschool our kid. Luckily, we only have one, who is smart enough to figure out most things for himself. But I’m not jealous of the parents of two, three or more kids of different ages and I have a lot of respect for single parents who have to manage all of this on their own. You are heroes!
Apart from a corona situation, I also still have my ankle situation. But I’m making Progress (pun intended) here. I actually started “walking” very slowly last week and it’s getting better and better every day. Today I started wearing my support stockings again, to prevent swelling. Go Granny Sister, but I’m so happy that the pains that I used to have daily are way less.
I still need a lot of Patience 😉 but by the time this is all over, I bet I’ll be able to do some serious fangirl jumping and dancing again. In the meantime, I try to keep the stress at the lowest possible level and I have two things to do that:
1. Young Living essential oils;
2. a band called Take That.
I have never been so thankful that I discovered the oils. It took me almost a year to find out what I like and what works for me, but now I can’t imagine my life without it. And remember that I am the most sceptical person you can image when it comes to all things natural. But more than once, I got my confirmation that this sh*t really works! So now I’m in full defence mode and trying to reinforce my immune system so that this virus can’t get to me or my men. My son chooses his oils by heart and not by reason. He ‘feels’ what he needs. My husband is still a bit sceptical and leaves me with my “witchcraft” but he is also still not sick…. Just sayin’…*
And then there are my other boys of course. Thank you Gary for getting us through the days with the Crooner Sessions. Every day at 6PM (in The Netherlands) is a great way to celebrate that we survived another day of home office and schooling. And could there be anything better than the one and only Robbie Williams singing you a lullaby (well, sort of) on Instagram Live before you go to sleep? Thank you Howard for our regular dose of Howard Humor. We really need humor These Days to keep us going. And thank you, thank you, Markie for a little chat on Insta Live, despite the bad connection ha ha. Boy, have we missed you! And we rather have a blurry Mark than no Mark at all.
Thank you for the happy little moments during the days in quarantine. And thank you fellow Thatters for sharing all the memories of the great year we had last year. So good to see all these pictures again en let’s just be grateful that the virus didn’t hit us last year. We had the opportunity to have a wonderful #TT30 Odyssey. Let’s keep the memories alive. We might be apart in distance, but we are together by heart.
Stay strong everyone, stay healthy and most of all: #stayathome.
